  • Competitive pay - we know you have hobbies outside of work. Our competitive pay is aimed at ensuring you can not only afford these hobbies but feel valued as a K9 and Co Happiness Officer.

  • On-boarding pack - a K9 and Co swag pack containing your new K9 Happiness Officer t-shirt, your own slip lead to be used on the job, your own games manual containing our K9 and Co puzzles, games and activities to be used throughout your work day and so much more!

  • Team social events - to thank you for all your hard work and show our appreciation to you! These can include activities such as bowling, escape rooms, mini golf, or just a good old fashioned pub feed!

  • Personal development - want to continue your career with K9 and Co? We hear you and we will be sure to nurture your development in the pet care industry.

  • Staff portal - so you can easily communicate with other staff members, share photos of the pups, and manage your day to day activities.

How will it work?

We work hard to make sure all our K9 Happiness Officers are trained and experienced in handling dog behaviour, particularly in large group settings. To ensure all our K9 Happiness Officers have the right foundation in managing dog behaviour, we require all new employees to undertake a 3-month onboarding process at our sister company, the Pet Care Centre. By undertaking this on-boarding process, you will learn:

  • How to identify positive groupings based on the dogs behaviour and tendencies

  • How to identify dog aggression early as well as how to prevent negative behaviour before it occurs

  • How to safely split up dog fights

  • How to conduct day-to-day operations to keep dogs and other staff safe

  • How to identify and correct poor manners
